🌊 Partnership Spotlight: Sandy Feet & Arts For All 🎶💙

We had an incredible morning partnering with @sandyfeetoc, an inspiring nonprofit that creates community for siblings of kids with special needs through beach-based programs and events.

@brysehansen and @_biancabrandi volunteered their time to lead a ukulele workshop, teaching the group how to play “Riptide”—and these kids picked it up fast! 🎸✨ Music filled the beach, and the smiles said it all.

Afterward, we hit the water for some bodyboarding fun—Bryce even got to show off his skills and share a powerful moment with the group, proving that anything is possible, even with physical challenges.

Sandy Feet’s mission to support siblings of children with disabilities aligns beautifully with what we believe at Arts For All: every child deserves a space to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

We’re so grateful for this meaningful collaboration and can’t wait for more to come!

On May 17th, we hosted our biggest kids concert yet at Stillwater Spirits & Sounds in Dana Point with 34 incredible young performers bringing music, heart, and courage to the stage.

From first-time pianists to full youth bands, this show had it all—and the background track in this reel is sung by 6-year-old AFA student Marianna Kriuchenkova, whose voice is nothing short of angelic. 🎤✨

Over 20 incredible youth performers, 9 hours of nonstop live music, full bands, solo acts—even a rocking “We Will Rock You” cover on violin!
More than 16,000 people filled Del Prado Street, and our Arts For All students, teachers, partners, and friends stunned the crowds with their talent and heart.

We’re bringing the next generation of talent to the @redo_market this month—and you don’t want to miss it!

On Saturday, April 27th, Arts For All will be running the Youth Stage at Dana Point’s iconic ReDo Vintage & Maker’s Market, an all-day celebration with 16,000+ attendees, five live music stages, food, surf art, vintage goods, and creative community vibes up and down Del Prado.

We’ll be posted up outside the Dana Point Post Office, where our youth performers will light up the stage from 10 AM to 4 PM with full bands, solo acts, and original music by student artists from our program and Danman’s Music School.

🎶 A Letter That Sings – Thank You, Bianca Brandi 🎶

At Arts For All, our mission is powered by people—and today, we want to spotlight one of the most inspiring voices in our community: Bianca Brandi. As our Volunteer Director, lead instructor, and creative force behind Taco Tuesday Live, Bianca brings unmatched heart and vision to everything we do.

In her moving Lead Artist Statement, Bianca shares how music became a lifeline in her journey—especially as a bridge of connection with her nonverbal autistic brother, Oliver. Her lived experience now fuels the mentorship she offers to our students across all abilities, including young stars like Marco Hashemi, a 5-year-old guitar prodigy whose performances leave audiences in awe.

Bianca’s leadership shapes not only our weekly programming, recitals, and outreach—but also our dreams. With her at the helm of Arts For All’s artistic direction, we are thrilled to be preparing our California Arts Council Arts & Youth grant application. This opportunity could amplify our “Spread the Music Initiative,” which provides private music lessons for 100 underserved youth each year.

From performing with The Bright Siders and Plumes, to teaching one-on-one with custom methods that meet every learner where they are—Bianca embodies our core belief: music is for everyone.

🎉 Big News! Arts For All Receives a Grant from Sammy Hagar?!?!??!! 🎶

We’re beyond excited to announce that Arts For All has received a $2,500 grant from the legendary @sammyhagar to help expand our mission of making music education accessible to all kids, regardless of financial barriers!

This generous support directly funded 71.42 music lessons, bringing us closer to our goal of 2,000 lessons this year. At Arts For All, we believe that music changes lives, and thanks to this grant, more young musicians will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and create.

We are proud to announce Jim Spina as one of Arts For All's newest volunteer Board of Directors.

He and his wife, Camille, have been residents of Dana Point since 2019, after raising their three children in Pasadena, CA. Jim and Camille have been together for 38 years, and one of their mutual bonds is a love of live music. They both strongly believe in giving back to local community efforts like AFA that "do well by doing good."

Professionally, Jim is a 35-year independent financial consultant who brings expertise in asset management, client relationships, goal setting, and budgeting to AFA. While money management has always been Jim's full-time role, coaching, mentoring, and connecting good people has been his side gig for many years. Jim's musical ability is being discovered one drum lesson at a time, fueled by a lifelong passion for quality music. Song-sharing with friends, attending countless concerts, and curating a large personal digital music collection fill much of the time and airspace at the Spina household.

Danman's Music Shop and a relationship with Bryce began when Jim simply walked in to ask about drum lessons in early 2024. Dan and Bryce were behind the desk and immediately offered a warm welcome, as they had done so many times before. A few lessons, practice sessions, and conversations later led Jim and Camille to the conclusion that Arts For All was the perfect fit for their family's ongoing mission to support local efforts by sharing their time, talent, and personal resources.

"Formally joining the Board at AFA is a mutually beneficial relationship," says Jim regarding his recent commitment. "Helping provide young kids who cannot afford music lessons with access to Bryce, AFA teachers, and Danman’s environment is a no-brainer. The return on invested time and resources for projects like this is exponential. Like knowledge, love, and most good things in life—the more one gives, the more one endlessly receives."

Last Fun Fact: Many family members and friends can verify that Jim's not-so-secret desire to be a rock drummer has been the source of countless "attention-getting" car rides. Due to his dedication to air drumming. :)

Had an incredible time attending the Orange County Business Council’s Annual Red Carpet Awards & Board Installation at the stunning Disneyland Resort Hotel! It was an eye-opening experience for Arts For All, bringing new inspiration, goals, and visions for the future.

A huge thank you to Debbie Hansen for including me, and it was great seeing so many amazing leaders, including Thomas Lotts, John Guastaferro, CFRE and the wonderful Vice Chair Katrina Foley.

The energy in the room was electric, and it was truly inspiring to connect with such influential voices in our community.

Last Saturday, January 25th, we kicked off 2025 in the best way possible—with an incredible Danmans / Arts For All New Year’s Concert! 🎊🎶

We were honored to host 18 amazing performances, with so many families coming out to support our young musicians. The energy, talent, and community spirit made for an unforgettable evening, and it’s safe to say our momentum for 2025 is already growing strong!

Our very own Bryce Hansen had an awesome time hosting the concert, keeping the crowd engaged with fun New Year’s and Valentine’s trivia! And in the spirit of love and appreciation, each performer received a Valentine’s goodie bag, 40 incentive tickets, and a certificate of accomplishment—a small token to celebrate their hard work and dedication.

We’ve officially signed on 5 new students toward our ambitious goal of serving 100 students in 2025! 💪

The journey is just beginning, but every step forward highlights the incredible need for programs like Arts For All. Here’s a heartfelt message from one of our newest family inquiries, showcasing how impactful this work is (see it in the image above). ❤️

“Our child has ADHD and a possible learning disability. We are currently in the process of having him further assessed. He is an amazing child but struggles at school because he falls in the 20% of non-compliant neurodiverse children. So much of our financial resources are spent on advocates, therapists, medication, and therapy, which leaves us with limited funds to enroll him in positive enrichment programs.”

After just one trial lesson, we received a follow-up call from the same mother:

“He loved the lessons and his teacher, Jesse. I have not seen him so motivated for anything. He would love to be fully enrolled in your program.”

🎅 Ho Ho Ho! Greetings from the North Pole! 🎄✨ Santa here, bringing you tidings of joy and the most magical concert recap from our December 14th Holiday Extravaganza at Stillwater Spirits & Sounds! 🎶❄️

What a night it was, filled with holiday cheer, music, and so much festive fun! 🎤 We had 36 AMAZING performers—the most talented kiddos this side of the North Pole—showcasing their musical magic for hundreds of proud parents and families. 🎹🎸🎻

🎄 The atmosphere was absolutely enchanting with twinkling lights, blow-up Santas, snow machines (my favorite, of course!), and the sweet smell of cookies galore! 🍪 We even had a delicious catered lunch, thanks to our incredible sponsor, Stillwater Spirits & Sounds. 🌟 And let’s not forget, I had the honor of MC-ing this joyful night, spreading holiday cheer to all who attended. 🎅✨

🎅🎶 A Magical Santa Event at Stillwater Spirits & Sounds! 🎶🎅

Last Saturday, December 7th, was a day to remember! Arts For All had the honor of hosting a super successful holiday event at Stillwater Spirits & Sounds in Dana Point, with an incredible turnout. The festive spirit was alive as we raised significant funds to support our mission, all thanks to the amazing efforts of Civitas Realty and their founder, the brilliant Leilani, who not only planned this unforgettable event but also showed us why she’s one of the best realtors around!

We had it all:
🎄 Hot cocoa and cookies for everyone
🎁 Special gifts for every child straight from Santa’s Christmas sack
📸 Professional photos with Santa, sent to each family

Stillwater Spirits & Sounds truly outdid themselves with their stunning Christmas decorations, creating a cozy and magical atmosphere that set the perfect holiday tone.

A special thank you to our partner Danman’s Music School for helping connect all of us and marketing the event to make it such a success.

🎶 A Night to Remember with Arts For All! 🎶

We are so honored to have been included in the Success With Purpose quarterly event on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd. Our incredible students Emerson McLeod, Marco Hashemi, Julia Eslan, Brooke Eslan, and Jasmine Elsayed performed a beautiful Christmas-themed set, showcasing what they’ve been working on with their music lessons. 🎄✨

After the first set, we enjoyed a delicious dinner of pork sliders, dips, and pita bread, paired with wine, and settled in to watch the event unfold. The evening was filled with laughter (including a fun roast of Richard!), inspiring moments, and incredible presentations from three amazing nonprofits.

A huge thank you to Bianca Brandi and Bryce Hansen for organizing this performance, to our students for their dedication and talent, and to the Success With Purpose community for making us feel so welcomed. We are beyond grateful to be part of such a meaningful event and to see so many familiar, friendly faces.
